Situated in the Central Drakensberg World Heritage zone, Shiriba farm is a 50 acre, privately owned property in the heart of the Champagne Valley. It,s a dream in the making. Seven years ago we decided to downscale and move to the country to live a simpler life. Being eco-friendly and self sufficient is our primary objective. In this time we have rebuilt the flailing dam which has now become a little eco-system of its own. In addition most of the materials from the land have produced a quaint honeymoon cottage, a comfortable family cottage and a humble homestead.

In the process, large areas of alien invaders such as bugweed and wattle has been removed. We now have a small but competent farmyard, producing our own chickens and eggs and a luscious (chemical free) vegetable patch. Shiriba is an oasis of serenity with plenty to do in the surrounds. Here you can enjoy swimming, walks, canoeing, birdwatching or fishing on the large dam (B.Y.O rod). Alternatively you may wish to explore the arts and crafts centres especially the famous KwaZulu Rug factory or one of the many activities close by including the ever popular Canopy Tour.

So come and join us and unwind in the peace and tranquillity of our gay friendly, pet friendly piece of paradise in either Honeystone cottage or Firefly cottage both nestled on the edge of a well stocked dam. Regret no children
